Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool future remains up in the air, with the winger yet to sign a new contract with the Reds.
The Egyptian international is currently free to talk to overseas clubs as Liverpool continue to work behind the scenes on trying to tie Salah down to a new contract, with the attacker on course to enjoy his best season yet with the Anfield side.
With Liverpool insiders unsure what’s happening with Salah, though, the prospect of the 32-year-old attacker leaving is growing by the day, with the Merseyside giants also working on handing new deals to Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk.
And PSG’s new stance on signing Salah could complicate matters for Liverpool this January.
PSG to do ‘everything’ to try and sign Salah this summer
According to L’Equipe journalist Loic Tanzi, PSG will go on an aggressive offensive to sign Salah this summer, with the Liverpool attacker now the French side’s top attacking target alongside Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran.
Tanzi said when asked about PSG’s stance on signing Salah: “Mohamed Salah to Paris can be done, but it likely won’t happen as Salah is likely to stay at Liverpool. He’s in talks over an extension, but next summer, Paris will do everything to bring him in.

“He is probably the offensive player that Paris wants most next summer alongside Jhon Duran. But there is very strong competitions, Liverpool’s talks for starters, but also Al-Hilal from Saudi Arabia, who will offer him everything and have been in talks with his representatives in recent days.”
With Al-Hilal’s manager admitting Salah could play for the Middle Eastern giants next season, the race to sign the winger could be about to heat up if Liverpool fail to secure a new contract for the forward, who with each passing day is inching ever closer to the exit door.
Who else could leave Liverpool this summer?
Salah is one of three Liverpool superstars currently barreling towards free-agency, with Real Madrid’s intense interest in Alexander-Arnold enough to suggest that the England international will be heading to Spain this summer.
Yet more players are linked with exits at the end of this season already, with Darwin Nunez likely to leave Liverpool despite the Uruguay international setting a Premier League record against Brentford this weekend.
Indeed, this year is set to be a big one for Liverpool in terms of squad changes, and the summer could see a number of big names depart as Arne Slot looks to potentially rebuild the Reds into something new and exciting.
