For a club having as disastrous a season as Manchester United are currently, the January transfer window often offers an opportunity to reinforce and make signings, who can help salvage the situation.
Although things were not that bad a few years ago, all the fans will remember the kind of impact that Bruno Fernandes had on the club when he joined from Sporting CP in a January transfer window and immediately set the stage alight at Old Trafford.
News – Terms agreed – Club reaches deal with Man Utd player for signing
Similarly, despite facing some financial issues, which could prevent them from signing players, this transfer window without making sales, the Old Trafford outfit will be looking to reinforce the squad which could help them compete better in the second half of the season.
Now, as per Italian publication Tutto Mercato Web, Man Utd are among the clubs interested in singing versatile PSG attacker Kang-in Lee and have already made contact. Newcastle United also setting their sights on the talented player.
Kang-in Lee has played quite regularly for the French Giants so farthis season, featuring mostly as an attacking midfielder but also from the right side of attack and even as a false nine on occasions.
In nine starts for PSG, Lee has directly contributed in 8 goals thus far this term (6 goals and 2 assists).
Valued at around £33 million (TMW), Kang-in Lee would be a good addition to the Man Utd squad. He can easily fit into Ruben Amorim's 3-4-3 system and play in one of the three attacking roles upfront.
Ultimately, it all comes down to the player's desire and the attacker might not be keen on swapping Champions League football at Parc des Princes for mid-table football at Old Trafford.
Let's wait and see how this transfer saga plays out this month.
