Man City director of football set for shock exit at the end of the season

Manchester City director of football Txiki Begiristain is reportedly set to depart his role at the end of the 2024-25 Premier League season.

According to The Athletic, City have already locked in a replacement for Begiristain and they will begin the role in early 2025.

Begiristain arrived at City in 2012 having previously worked as Barcelona’s director of football from 2003 to 2010.

The report adds Begiristain targeted an exit from City once he turned 55, but instead departs at 60 years of age.
