Arsenal vs Tottenham was a record-breaking fixture from the moment the game kicked off thanks to three fresh-faced stars.

That’s because this is the first time in Premier League history that three players aged 18 or younger have started in a north London derby.

Myles Lewis-Skelly was named in the starting line-up for the Gunners, while Ange Postecoglou named both Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall in his team for the clash.

In a game that often cries out for experienced heads, it means that this one will be influenced at both ends of the pitch, and the age spectrum.

Lewis-Skelly only turned 18 in September and made his 15th senior appearance for Arsenal after being named at left-back.

Meanwhile Bergvall and Gray, who turned 18 in February and March last year respectively, have been regular features for Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Gray has been a key player since arriving from Leeds United and despite being a central midfielder, has regularly been used at centre-back of late due to the team’s injury problems.

As for Bergvall, it was just his fourth start in the Premier League for Tottenham – a big challenge for a player who is still adapting to life in England.
