Clement risks ire of fed-up fans with 'titles' line that sums up remarkable drop in standards

Rangers manager Philippe Clement has spoken about installing a 'winning mentality' at Ibrox.
But on current form Rangers will be lucky to finish the season with a place in the Europa Conference League as the club's lacklustre squad ambles from one shambles to the next.
Following the 1-1 draw with Dundee United, apathetic Rangers fans are turning off in their droves with Ibrox set to become a graveyard over a cold winter.
And now under pressure manager Philippe Clement has risked the ire of Gers supporters further by dismissing talk of the title with his side now 11 points behind Celtic.
Rangers 'don't need to talk about titles'
"We don't need to speak about titles now," Clement told BBC Sport. "We need speak about raising out level.
"Because we don't have control (over) how many points other teams take.
"But you see a team that stayed competitive today, that wanted to win. You didn't see a team who gave up, who didn't want to, or who lost faith.
"They kept on pushing to score the second goal, to have the win. That's the mentality I want to see.
"Last season we had several of those games that at the end we won and we get the rewards.
"Today you saw the push to raise the level, to take the win but we didn't get the reward that we deserved in that way but it's about continuing with that mentality 90 minutes long."
Rangers manager sums up drop in Ibrox standards
Should Celtic win this year's Premiership trophy – something only a fool would bet against – it will bring the Parkhead side level with Rangers' world-record 55 domestic championship haul.
With Celtic also level with Rangers' record haul of 118 trophies overall, this season could see a seismic shift towards Parkhead which is rattling the very identity of the Ibrox faithful.
Despite this, Philippe Clement doesn't want to speak about titles. Well unfortunately Phil, we do.
The drastic drop off in Rangers' standards is astonishing and Clement risks riling an Ibrox support even further with these latest soundbites pretty much summing up where we are as a club.
Every single one of the Rangers custodians, shareholders, board members, executives, management staff, coaches and players should be ashamed to have been a part of this shambles over the last three years.
Clement also spoke about 'credit' with the support after the game. It's ran dry.
If the Belgian reckons the Rangers manager's job is a lonely one right now, just wait until he's playing in front of an empty Ibrox come Christmas.
Then we'll see if he wants to talk about titles then.
