Glen Kamara only left Rangers for Leeds United a year-and-a-half ago but he could soon be on his third club since departing.

Gers raked in £5.5million, as per the Yorkshire Post, for the player they had signed for just £50,000 (BBC Sport) from Dundee five years prior.

That proved to be an absolute bargain as the classy Fin shone in a royal blue jersey in those early seasons, bringing a calmness and composure to the centre of the pitch under Steven Gerrard.

Like so many of his teammates, his influence on the team waned in the latter years and he found himself in and out of the team.

Plenty of clubs were still interested, Ligue 1 side Rennes one of them, but the Arsenal academy graduate ended up back in England and Kamara went on to explain his move to Leeds.

Kamara earned rave reviews in a Leeds side that was challenging for promotion to the Premier League but ultimately fell short.

And he would eventually end up at Rennes last summer in a move that earned Rangers a windfall, leaving Elland Road after just one year.

He could well be on the move again.

Kamara wanted by Southampton, Ipswich and two others

A host of clubs are reportedly queuing up to sign Kamara and give him a third home just 18 months on from leaving Ibrox.

L'Équipe report that the 29-year-old is wanted by Premier League duo Southampton and Ipswich but the pair face competition from Middlesbrough and Trabzonspor.

The Turks previously signed Kamara’s old Rangers teammates Borna Barisic and John Lundstram and are reportedly interested in Ridvan Yilmaz.

Rennes are yet to receive any offer and the report actually claims Boro and Trabzon have shown the most interest to date.

Kamara disappoints at Rennes

The report from L'Équipe has branded Kamara’s time at Rennes a “disappointing passage.”

The Finland international was starting games at the beginning of the season but hasn’t been featuring in recent weeks.

He didn’t even make the squad for the most recent Ligue 1 game against Brest and hadn’t made it off the bench for the two before, defeats to Marseille and Nice.

His last start came against Lille in November, where he was whipped off at half-time.

Perhaps a return to England could be just what he needs.
