'Not good enough' Rangers pair hammered by fed-up Clement who promises 'harsh' punishment

Philippe Clement has slammed the Rangers stars who 'were not good enough' in the first half of the Scottish Premiership draw with Dundee United.
The Belgian manager, 50, is under immense pressure at Ibrox after falling 11 points behind eternal rivals Celtic in the title race.
Rangers fans are increasingly calling for Philippe Clement's head with a string of disastrous performances all but consigning the club to another season without the title.
Given Aberdeen are eight points in front of the Gers in second, a 3rd place or even 4th place finish isn't completely out of the picture either.
It's a drastic scenario and with Clement's head firmly on the chopping block, the Rangers manager has hinted that he's ready to be 'harsh' with his underperforming stars.
It comes after Philippe Clement hooked misfiring Cyriel Dessers and underperforming Mohamed Diomande at half-time.
The Rangers manager went on to praise the impact of replacements Danilo and Ianis Hagi.
Philippe Clement brands duo 'not good enough'
"We had some players who performed normal," Clement told Sky Sports. "But we had some players who were not good enough today.
"Who were not available enough today, who were not brave enough today.
"That's why I made also some changes in half-time with players who had a good impact.
"We need to show much more like what we showed in the second so I'm going to be harsh on that."
Rangers manager insists he can get team firing
Despite Rangers putting in yet another turgid performance against Dundee United, Philippe Clement insists he can get his team firing this season.
It comes with Rangers in a Catch 22 with the Belgian after handing Clement a new contract on the eve of the new Scottish Premiership season.
Rangers' season is careering towards disaster but Clement is refusing to give up on a new-look squad who are struggling with the expectations at Ibrox.
The ex-Club Brugge and AS Monaco manager insists that it's about getting a 90 minute performance out of side, something which has proved elusive so far this season.
"You have seen the second half," said Clement. "That's a really good example (of getting the players to play how I want them to).
"And they had also moments like that the last couple of weeks but it's about getting that 90 minutes long, every three days.
"That's a culture we need to create with this new group to have this every time and this quality every time."
