Vaclav Cerny cut-price £5.5m fee triggers Rangers race against time as Ibrox side face watching value soar

Vaclav Cerny has been the main man at Rangers this season.
The Czech winger has established himself as the key player at Ibrox with his goals and assists tally helping the club into the last-eight of the Europa League with big wins over Celtic also thrown in.
Cerny’s form has earned transfer suitors ahead of the summer as Rangers also keep their Cerny dream alive with a possible permanent deal still on the cards if things progress well.
Even a former Celtic player in Simon Donnelly believes Gers would be “daft not to” push the boat out for the playmaker, 27, and now it is being reported that he has a permanent fee built into his loan agreement which is less than initially thought.
Vaclav Cerny has a cut-price Rangers deal in place
Cerny, according to the Daily Record, would be available for £5.5million should the 49ers group look to put their money where their mouth is when they finalise the takeover.
The same publication, however, claims there is now a race against time to do the deal as the agreement reportedly expires before the end of the current campaign.
That means incoming American owner Andrew Cavenagh and his consortium may be forced to rush into the move as they continue to wait for the greenlight to secure their multi-million pound deal.
Cerny’s excellence has continued into the international break with a man of the match showing vs Gibraltar, topped off with a goal.

Rangers icon’s thoughts on Cerny’s permanent option
Cult-hero Cerny has Premier League clubs sniffing around as his future remains up in the air and he will surely be interested to find out where he could be playing his football next season if VFL Wolfsburg – his parent club – receive offers.
Lee McCulloch says Cerny is a bonafide Rangers star as he urged his old club to stump up to keep the wideman.
"He's more of a match winner. He's positive, he's direct and he's a Rangers player, if I can put it that way. He'll take people out the game, he'll set up goals – but he's there to win games and score goals,” Jig said.
"He's on loan so that's up to the club, they'll need to try and do a bit of business. But he'll need to want to stay as well.
"I think we're a wee bit away from that yet, it's still a long way to go until the end of the season. But I think it would be a positive if he was here next year."
