Philippe Clement has given his reaction to Rangers’ fans planned walkout for today’s game against St Johnstone.

In protest over recent results and the direction the club is heading in, some supporters are planning to leave today’s match on the 55th minute.

Asked about that, Clement told BBC Scotland: “I hope that team makes a performance that the fans want to stay at that moment. So, I’m focused on that and what the team is doing to find solutions since there are players missing, and to be creative. to get the result.

“I know from being here more than one year that when the team is performing well then all the fans are behind the team. That’s what the fans want to see and I’m focused on that to get the group in that way on the pitch.”

Asked if it was unfair from the support, he added: “No, fans are unhappy when the results are not there or what they expect. I’m focused on my team and my players to perform well to get this results better in the away games and to get more consistency with this group.

“There’s a lot of jobs to be done at this club, a lot of things have changed, and it’s about getting this consistency for sure in the away games because the consistency has been here in the home games and in the European games, so we need to take that next step.

“And of course also the home record that we have up until now.

“I will take everything on me. I want my players to be focused on the football and what they have to do on the pitch. It’s all about that and I know how fast things can change also.
