Sunderland have already sealed a January move for AS Roma midfielder Enzo Le Fee.

The French midfielder will arrive at the Stadium of Light on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy if the Black Cats are promoted to the Premier League.

While there is a long way to go for Sunderland to confirm their place in the top flight, Le Fee’s move to the club could impact Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi.

Gazzetta dello Sport state today that the Frenchman was in Milan yesterday to negotiate a deal for Inter Milan’s Davide Frattesi, but his future at the Giallorossi is far from secure and he could depart the club at the end of January.

If not this month, then Ghisolfi could leave from Roma at the end of the season. His fate, regardless of what happens, seems sealed and Bologna's Giovanni Sartori is seen as a credible candidate to replace him.

The report believes that Le Fee’s move to Sunderland only six months after his arrival from Rennes is a 'mini-failure' for Ghisolfi.

The move to bring the 24-year-old to Rome in the summer has been described as the director’s 'flagship' and the fact that the transfer hasn’t worked out could cost him his job.
