Justin Kluivert is at the centre of the transfer market
Dutch player Justin Kluivert, who has made a name for himself this season for Bournemouth, is on the radar of giant clubs. The 25-year-old footballer, who attracted attention with his performance in the Premier League, made a big impact by scoring goals and producing assists. Kluivert has so far achieved 13 goals and 7 assists in 31 matches for the club.
Justin Kluivert's price tag is thought to have been set at around €50/55 million by Bournemouth.
Manchester United has been closely monitoring Kluivert's performance for some time. The Red Devils have added the youngster to their transfer list as an alternative on the wing and offensive line.
Newcastle United see Kluivert as a strategic signing that could boost their offence. Sources say the player can test his condition before the summer transfer window.
Our view
An authoritative attacking midfielder is just what Tottenham needs.
Yes, that space already has several characters circling it, but not one has made the position their own.
James Maddison has found himself dropped on more than one occasion, and has been savaged by Roy Keane already this season. Pape Mata Sarr has struggled to command a regular place in the Spurs starting XI, but has youth on his side. Rodrigo Bentancur blows hot and cold, plus there is an issue with discipline, beyond his unwelcome ability to pick up injuries.
Justin Kluivert is by far a standout performer, and Spurs ought to snap him up as a statement of intent. There is plenty of loose talk about winning the Europa League, whilst drifting in above the relegation zone, and should Postecoglou fail to get the finish they desire, then strong questions will be asked as to why they failed.
