Tottenham Hotspur's ongoing struggles have made it clear that reinforcements will be necessary to ensure a stronger campaign ahead of next season.
The Lilywhites are actively scouting young talents, with Inter Miami midfielder Benjamin Cremaschi emerging as a potential target.
According to TEAMtalk, Spurs are closely monitoring the 20-year-old American, who has been making waves in Major League Soccer.
Cremaschi, currently under contract with Inter Miami until 2027, has drawn interest from multiple European clubs. He is also highly regarded by Lionel Messi, who reportedly enjoys playing alongside him in Miami.
Tottenham's recruitment strategy has been focused on acquiring young midfielders to build a long-term core, and Cremaschi fits that profile.
His development in football has been rapid—starting at Key Biscayne SC before moving to Weston FC, where he played a key role in their U16 MLS Next Cup triumph, earning the Golden Ball in the process.
After joining Inter Miami's academy in 2021, he quickly made a name for himself, eventually earning a place in the senior squad.
Cremaschi made his professional debut in 2023 and was instrumental in Miami's Leagues Cup victory, contributing two assists and scoring a goal.
His rise in American soccer also earned him a spot in the United States Olympic squad for the 2024 Paris Games, making him the youngest player selected for the tournament.
He is highly regarded in the United States, with Christian Pulisic previously praising his immense potential.
He said (quotes via Spanish outlet Marca):
"I really like this kid out of Miami, man. Seems like a nice kid. I've been out of the states but been excited to follow Miami recently for obvious reasons, and yeah, I like him. In the few trainings I've seen him, I see a lot of potential there as well."
With 76 appearances for Inter Miami, along with seven goals and seven assists to his name, Cremaschi has proven to be a dynamic and promising midfielder. Across all competitions and levels, he has scored 12 and assisted 9 in his young career so far
Spurs have already added talented young midfielders like Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray, both of whom have impressed in their debut seasons.
Bringing in Cremaschi could further strengthen the team's midfield for years to come, forming a trio that could be instrumental in Tottenham's future.
As the summer transfer window approaches, Spurs may need to move quickly to secure his signature amid growing competition for the young star.
