Tottenham Hotspur are keen on the Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham, and they could look to make a move for the Championship prodigy in the summer.

According to a report from TEAMtalk, multiple clubs are keen on signing the 19-year-old and Tottenham have sent scouts to watch the player in action this season.

Bellingham has been a key player for Sunderland and he has made 34 appearances for them in the league this season. He has four goals and three assists to his name and he could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for Tottenham.

The North London club will face competition from Manchester United and Chelsea for his signature. Both clubs are keen on the talented young midfielder, and it remains to be seen where the Sunderland star ends up. He has all the attributes to develop into a top-class player and he could be a future star for Tottenham if they can get the deal done. They need to add more quality and depth in the middle of the park and the 19-year-old certainly has the physicality and technical attributes to do well in the top flight.

Spurs have shown a willingness to invest in talented young players. They are looking to build a squad for the future, and it is no surprise that they are keen on one of the most talented players in the Championship.

Sunderland midfielder Dan Neil has heaped praise on Bellingham in the past.

He said: "He's an absolute freak of nature, physically. Technically, he is a top, top, player as well."

Bellingham will be attracted to the idea of playing in the Premier League as well. It would be a huge step up for him and he would get to test himself in the top flight. Tottenham could nurture him into a quality player in the near future.

Meanwhile, Chelsea and Manchester United need more depth in the midfield as well. Chelsea have been overly reliant on Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo. Bellingham could be a superb addition for them. At Manchester United, he could form a quality partnership with Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte.
