Team News

Tom Cleverley will be without the injured Angelo Ogbonna, Tom Dele-Bashiru, Jeremy Ngakia and Kévin Keben, while Festy Ebosele is suspended.

There is no timescale on Dele-Bashiru's return, whilst Keben suffered a setback in his recovery that required surgery.

Pierre Dwomoh will miss the trip through illness, but Moussa Sissoko is once again available for selection following his three-match ban.

For Plymouth Argyle, Lewis Gibson will return to the squad following injury, but the game comes too soon for defender Brendan Galloway and goalkeeper Conor Hazard.

Joe Edwards, Ibrahim Cissoko and Muhamed Tijani are the side's long-term injury absentees.

What Are They Saying?

“With Whittaker they've got one of the real quality players of the league, so it's our job to keep them quiet.”

Tom Cleverley, Watford Head Coach

“Watford are a good team, a physical team, so we know we have to be at our best to win the game on Friday night."

Wayne Rooney, Plymouth Argyle Head Coach
