Vakoun Bayo’s fine form in November has earned him a nomination for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award.
The striker bagged an impressive six goals in as many matches, kicking the month off with a stunning four strikes in the 6-2 win over Sheffield Wednesday.
Bayo’s four-goal haul at Hillsborough came in the space of just 30 second-half minutes, with an impudent lifted finish to complete his hat-trick the pick of the bunch.
The 27-year-old followed that up with the winning strike in a 1-0 home victory over Oxford United before opening the scoring as the Hornets drew 2-2 at Plymouth Argyle.
His form in November earned a first call-up for Ivory Coast in six years and the ex-Celtic attacker opened his international account with a goal during a 4-0 win over Chad.
Also nominated for the award are Finn Azaz (Middlesbrough), Borja Sainz (Norwich City) and Japhet Tanganga (Millwall).
The judging panel includes Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, EFL Chief Executive Trevor Birch and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies, with the winner set to be announced on Friday (December 13).
