Reaction: Jebbison On Burnley & Loan So Far
Today at 04:00 AM
Daniel Jebbison spoke to watfordfc.com after coming on as a second-half substitute in the defeat against Burnley at Turf Moor.
He discussed the loss, as well as how he is finding his time with the Hornets after joining on loan from AFC Bournemouth in the summer.
Read what he had to say below:
On the squad’s thoughts on the defeat:
We are disappointed, but these moments are either going to make you or break you. So we are just going to have to keep our heads high, and just go again.
On learning from the defeat:
All players in their careers go through tough times, and we just need to stick our chins up, and continue doing what we are doing, but do it better next time.
On his loan so far:
It's good. There are good players here, there are good staff, they all help me and make me a better person and a better player on and off the pitch. I get a lot of support here, I am just going to keep doing what I have to do, keep training well, and opportunities will come. I think it is good so I aim to keep learning.
On what it is like being on the bench:
It can annoy me, but it is okay, because you are not going to get what you want in life all of the time, and you just need to be patient really, so with an opportunity like the one at Burnley I just try my hardest.
On doing extras after training:
I am trying to improve myself every day, every aspect of me on the pitch. There are people here that train with me after training, and they look at my weaknesses and they try to improve it every day.
On learning from other strikers at the club:
[Bayo's] movement is good, when I am on the bench I look at his movement and how I could implement it in my game. So being on the bench is annoying but you can still learn.
On his goals for the future:
I am just going to keep on training and take care of myself because there are loads of fixtures to play, so I am just going to keep on working.
On whether he thinks he will be successful at Watford:
I am very confident my time will come. I just need to be patient and keep working hard, I know the manager believes in me. I believe in him, and we will work together for the rest of the season.
