Arrows, City and Chippa victorious whilst SuperSport held

This Saturday's round of Betway Premiership fixtures were nothing short of entertaining and produced a number of goals as Golden Arrows, Polokwane City and Chippa United grabbed maximum points.

With two first half goals, Abafana Bes'thende made sure to take home all the spoils against Marumo Gallants. Bahlabane Ba Ntwa had the better chances in the first half of the match, but they couldn’t convert them well.

Abafana Bes’thende concluded the first half better than the other team, and they took advantage of their opportunities.

Knox Mutizwa gave the hosts a 1-0 lead in the 39th minute with a low drive past goalkeeper Edward Maova, before Nduduzo Sibiya scored with a header in the 44th minute to put Arrows ahead 2-0 at halftime.

In other results, SuperSport United was held to a goalless draw against John Maduka's Royal AM. Neither side was capable of breaking the deadlock at the end of the first half, and the second half was the same as both failed to created concrete chances.

Chippa and Polokwane also won their matches against Richards Bay and Magesi respectively. The next batch of league matches will give room for midweek action, with fixtures taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday.
