Under Mikel Arteta, Arsenal have been no strangers to signing former Manchester City players.
Oleksandr Zinchenko, Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling are already at the club, but it seems as if the Gunners could have potentially signed another former Manchester City player.
TuttoSport today have stated that the player in question is Danilo, who is leaving Juventus. The outlet have reported about on situation of the veteran defender.
The Brazilian has been excluded from Juve’s project under Thiago Motta for weeks and while he had a verbal agreement in place with Napoli, the final decision hasn’t been made.
There was interest from the Middle East and also the 'attraction' of the Premier League due to interest from Arsenal, say Tuttosport.
Despite that, Danilo could move back to Brazil. Flamengo have beaten competition from Santos in the race, with the player having decided to move closer to his family.
The move has been described as a 'U-turn', because Napoli manager Antonio Conte was expecting to sign him this month.
The 33-year-old left Manchester City to join Juve in 2019 and months later, Arteta left the Etihad to join Arsenal after working with the Brazil international.
