The Gunners continue their home stand after a challenging week of travels.

Arsenal host Leicester City at the Emirates in a much-needed reprieve from the Gunners' difficult schedule to open the season and brutal stretch of away matches. The Foxes are far from their Premier League winning form of 2015-16, but anybody in the Premier League can get 'ya in you're not up for it. This re-promoted side does still have Jamie Vardy, after all. Arsenal should be able to take care of business at home, however. That is if they're allowed to keep all 11 men on the field.

The Gunners are still searching for an attacking identity without Martin Ødegaard. Mikel Arteta admitted that it has been a difficult process because so much of what he wanted his side to do hinged on and flowed through the Norwegian skipper. Today, it looks as if Leandro Trossard will be playing the part of attacking, creative #8, as he did in the first half against Manchester City.

Steve Cooper's Leicester City side have yet to win a match this season, although they've managed three draws, including against Tottenham on the opening day. The Foxes have struggled defensively, conceding nearly two goals per game. The aforementioned Jamie Vardy is tied with new-to-the-Premier League face Stephy Mavididi for the club lead on two goals. The 26-year old attacker isn't a new face to Leicester City — he was with the club last season. He's a pacey, dribble-y winger that Arsenal will have to keep an eye on defensively.

Arsenal's defense gets a boost today — David Raya is fit and starting. There were question marks, at least in the public view, about whether the Arsenal keeper would be fit. He's nursing a slight knock picked up at some point during the Manchester City match. Ben White was not fit enough to make the matchday squad. The Arsenal defender played through his minor injury against Manchester City but will get the day off today.

Mikel Arteta hinted that Mikel Merino might make his Arsenal debut soon, perhaps as soon as next weekend. Takehiro Tomiyasu returned to partial training this week. Martin Ødegaard, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Kieran Tierney are all out for a while still with their respective injuries.
