Accrington loan ends for Costelloe

Dara Costelloe joined Accrington Stanley in the summer on a season-long loan but that has been ended with Burnley recalling the forward this morning.

Costelloe made his Accrington debut at Doncaster just two days after making the move and went on to make 21 league and cup appearances for them, scoring five ties in the league. He hasn't featured since coming off injured in the home defeat against Salford on the Saturday before Christmas.

That was his fourth loan since. He spent time with Bradford City in the 2022/23 season, this having started the season in our first team. Last season it was Scotland for him with a move to St. Johnstone followed by a move to Dundee for the second half of the season.

For now, he's back with the Clarets.
