Striker Michael Mellon has returned to League Two, where he had such a successful time with Morecambe in the first half of last season, and joined Bradford City on loan until the end of the season.

Mellon had two loans at Morecambe, but the second of them was hugely successful and saw him score thirteen league goals for them before being recalled by Burnley club to send him to partner club Dundee. His loan there was hit with injury as was his loan for the first half of this season that restricted him to just two substitute appearances in League One.

He was back playing for our under-21s last month, scoring in the 4-0 win against Hull in the team’s final game of 2024.

Now, it’s back to League Two and Bradford City under the management of ex-Claret Graham Alexander.

We wish Michael well at Valley Parade.
