"We've had good success with that" – January transfer to Burnley seen as profitability blueprint by club

Silkeborg IF manger Kent Nielsen has spoken to the Danish media about the recent transfer of Oliver Sonne to Burnley.
The Peru international signed for the Championship side towards the end of last month after four seasons with Silkeborg IF.
Speaking to Tipsbladet, Nielsen was asked about the Danish club's transfer policy, following Sonne's move to England.
The Dane said Silkeborg IF look to bring in players they think they can improve, and eventually expect to move to other clubs for a profit.
Nielsen went on to say they are already in the process of filling the void left by Sonne and that they have a target in mind.
“Sonne himself is a very good example of how we have sometimes been successful in bringing in players in the past. Sonne came when we knew that Rasmus Carstensen was really talented, so we brought in Sonne because we could see that it would probably end with Rasmus leaving,” said the Danish coach.
“So we brought in Sonne to see if we could make him skilled enough. And we have had good success with that. When we then bring in Jens Martin [Gammelby], it is also because we can see that he is an option when Sonne leaves. That is what we are working hard on now.”
In December, Sonne signed for Burnley on a four and half deal but is still waiting to make his debut for the east Lancashire club.
During the last campaign he started 15 games for Silkeborg IF in the Danish Superliga and was also involved in their failed attempts to qualify for the Europa League, and then the Europa Conference League.
