Over the past few days, Blackburn Rovers have been presented as a credible destination for Cesena striker Augustus Kargbo.
The Italian press has sounded confident about the move, amidst talks taking place between the two clubs.
It now seems as if pressure is being put on Blackburn Rovers to follow through with their initial offer.
Il Resto del Carlino have reported today that Cesena’s asking price for Kargbo is €1.2m.
Blackburn Rovers' initial offer is lower than that amount and the outlet state there is now a rising feeling that the Sierra Leone striker could stay at the Italian club until the end of the season.
There is no indication that Cesena will accept a lower fee and the Lancashire club will have to raise their offer.
At the same time, the Serie B side have cooled down their chase for a replacement in Sassuolo’s Flavio Russo. A move for Udinese’s Damian Pizarro has also been described as 'difficult' for them, as the report teases the idea of Kargbo’s stay.
John Eustace’s side will now have to hurry if they’re still keen.
