Sheffield United in transfer talks with attacking midfielder's agent

There's a claim in the Turkish media that Sheffield United are again showing interest in Besiktas' Alexander Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The Blades were linked with the former Liverpool and Arsenal player during the last summer transfer window, but couldn't get a deal over the line.
Fanatik today report on the latest developments regarding Oxlade-Chamberlain's future at Besiktas and they say the Istanbul side are looking to offload him during this transfer window.
With the Black Eagles keen to get the player off their wage bill and the issues with the Super Lig foreign quota rules, Besiktas are keen for him to leave quickly. The Turkish giants want to part with at least two overseas payers in this window, with the 31-year-old being one of those.
It's claimed Sheffield United have been in transfer talks with Oxlade-Chamberlain's agent. During the summer it was reported the attacking midfielder was keen to head back to this home country.
However, the Championship side should expect to face competition to sign the player, following reports Nantes are also in discussions with the agent.
Oxlade-Chamberlain made 30 appearances for Besiktas last season, but has hardly figured in this campaign. He's contracted to the club until June 2026.
