Watford are one of the sides interested in a deal for free-agent Layvin Kurzawa as he continues his search for a new club.

That's according to Foot Mercato, who say the former Paris Saint Germain defender has offers on the table and interested parties.

They report that the 32-year-old has remained without a club since leaving PSG but is focused on finding himself a new destination soon. He's been working with a personal trainer to maintain his fitness while a free agent but that could be about to come to an end.

According to FM's information, the defender has been the subject of a concrete approach from two clubs. One of them is Spanish side Leganés and the other is Watford.

And the Hornets might have the early advantage as FM report that Kurzawa wouldn't look favourably on the Spanish option at this moment in time. They are 16th in La Liga. Watford, though, are 9th in the Championship and their offer is being 'studied in a very serious way'.

Kurzawa has previous experience in English football after spending a few months on loan at Fulham in the Premier League in the 2022/23 season.

And it seems he would now be considering a return to the country, this time in the Championship with Watford, who have made him an offer.
