Jody Morris has just been on TalkSport speaking to Jim White and Danny Murphy and Simon Jordan touching on all manner of topics

It's really interesting to hear him speak about all sorts of Chelsea related subjects, from his time as a player to his time as Frank Lampard's assistant. It's a subject close to his heart:

"There's nobody who's played in the Chelsea first team who's more local than me," Morris explained. He revealed that post-match, after his first few games in the first team, he used to walk home up the North End Road from the Bridge. That truly is local.

Morris makes revelations about Blues' bad behaviour under Abramovich

He had some pretty scandalous revelations about his time as an assistant – he claims that he and Lampard knew from the start that they were being seen as a "stop gap" solution while the Blues had a transfer ban, and also revealed that he worked his first few weeks back at the club without a contract.

"I was told I was going to have one and that it was going to be fine and it would be backdated and stuff… then quite a few things came out of the contract that were supposed to be in there."

It sounds like a sore spot – and sounds like the previous ownership were happy to take advantage of his loyalty to Chelsea.

We're always keen to have Jody back at Stamford Bridge, he did brilliant work with our youth teams and so many of our biggest academy stars of the last few years were developed under him. He also played a part in the scouting and signing of Billy Gilmour, so his eye for a player is not to be underestimated.
