Nottingham Forest will hope to do a bit of business during the January transfer window.
Forest are flying high in the Premier League and ahead of tonight’s game with Wolves, the Reds are in third place.

The Reds have been a breath of fresh air during the 2024/25 campaign and it’s exciting to think what Forest might achieve this season.
A number of players have already been linked with the club this month, despite the window only being open for six days so far.
Igor Jesus has been linked with Forest after it was claimed that Arsenal have seen a loan bid for the Brazilian player rejected.
Another player Forest like is Yuri Alberto and he could leave Corinthians this month with a number of clubs keen to land him.
The current striker is Chris Wood and with 12 goals this season, it’s perhaps more important that Forest work to get him tied down to a new City Ground contract.
Turkish club want Forest striker Chris Wood
According to the Turkish outlet Fotomac, Besiktas have identified Wood as the new striker they want to sign in the near future.
In order to sign him this month a fee would need to be agreed with Forest – although a pre-contract agreement can be sealed with Wood now having six months on his existing deal.
Forest are in talks with Wood over a new deal and the player is keen to get himself a two-year deal to keep him at the Reds beyond his 35th birthday.
Wood has bagged a dozen goals this season and after scoring 14 in the Premier League last season, it’s imperative that Forest avoid losing such an influential figure on a free transfer.
Besiktas are keen to add some more firepower this month and languish in sixth place in the Super Lig table, with Wood eyed as someone who could improve their fortunes.
Wood won’t be leaving Forest this month
There is absolutely no way that Forest will be accepting an offer for the only striker at the club who is currently scoring goals this month.
What happens beyond this season, however, is anyone’s guess at the moment and it’s perhaps a small concern that a contract extension hasn’t been sorted yet.
Hopefully, it’s merely a case of seeing the formalities out and an announcement can take place in due course regarding a new contract for Wood.
It’s also worth paying attention to the source here and it’s fair to say that the Turkish media can sometimes be somewhat erratic with their transfer updates.
Wood is a player that Forest have to keep at the club and even though he earns £80,000-a-week at the City Ground, the club must do whatever it takes to keep hold of him.
