Nottingham Forest will look to do some transfer business before the transfer window closes early next month.
The Reds are playing superb football at the moment. After Tuesday’s 1-1 draw against Liverpool, Forest sit third in the Premier League table with 41 points from 21 games.

A host of names have been linked with a move to the club this summer. Evangelos Marinakis is keen to sign a striker as Forest go in search of Champions League football this season.
Mathys Tel has been linked with Forest but he looks like staying put. It does feel, however, as though the profile from the summer will be stuck to with young, hungry players with resale value identified.
Chelsea make offer for Nottingham Forest target Yeremey Hernandez
Forest could soon have a conundrum on their hands and a decision to make. According to Caught Offside, Chelsea have now submitted an offer to sign Hernandez who has been linked with Forest.
The Deportivo La Coruna winger has enjoyed a fine season. He can play on either flank and has managed to be a part of 11 goal contributions during the 2024/25 campaign.
Forest are in the market for a new forward player for certain. Taiwo Awoniyi has been linked with West Ham and ultimately other players might leave the football club from the attacking positions.
Hernandez is rated highly and a clutch of Premier League clubs have watched him ahead of the January transfer window.
Now, it looks like Chelsea are going to be the club that makes the first move. That in itself could prompt Forest to show their hand if they believe he’s worth bringing to England.
Forest eye Yoane Wissa
It does feel like Forest are going for a certain type of player. Wissa, much like Hernandez is capable of playing anywhere across the front three and clearly a versatile option is sought.
Wissa has been on the radar of Forest for a little while. The club clearly like the 28-year-old who has scored on 12 occasions for Brentford in the Premier League this season.
Forest would find it tricky to land Wissa. Brentford were left frustrated with Forest when they eyed Brennan Johnson as as a result, they won’t be easy to do business with.
Hernandez would likely be an easier signing to complete in the January transfer window. As a result, the club must now decide whether to enter the race alongside Chelsea or not.
