We're heading towards the business end of the January transfer window, and Chelsea have work to do.

Indeed, Chelsea still have an incredibly bloated squad, and they could look to sell a few players before the end of the January transfer window.

Carney Chukwuemeka has been linked with a move away from Chelsea, while Cesare Casadei is likely to leave.

Speaking on the London is Blue Podcast, Matt Law has been discussing which Chelsea players are most likely to leave before the deadline, and he's made an interesting claim about Christopher Nkunku.

Nkunku isn't too happy at Chelsea right now, and according to Law, he's more likely to leave the club in this window than Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Dewsbury-Hall had been linked with Fulham, but now, it's Nkunku who looks more likely to leave.

Law shared his verdict on which Chelsea players are most likely to leave before the deadline.

The journalist says Cesare Casadei is the player most likely to leave Chelsea this month, followed by Renato Veiga with Nkunku in third place.

"So I’m getting most likely to least likely, I’ll try and stack rank these for you right now. I’ll throw Casadei as most likely. Yeah, there’s been more smoke. Veiga and Disasi as the next ones," The host said.

"The only thing with Disasi is that there’s not an actual known suitor at the moment. I would probably put in Nkunku next just because we know there’s a club trying to set. Well, we know there’s a club trying to sign in Nkunku," Law said.

"I would go Casadei and Veiga, then Nkunku, then probably Disasi. Then probably Dewsbury Hall.

"Even though we have a suitor for Felix, I’m still having him quite low because while there’s a realistic chance of selling Nkunku, I don’t think there’s a realistic chance of Felix going. If the Nkunku thing falls down, then do a big swap-a-roo on those two maybe."

Christopher Nkunku stats this season

When you look at the stats, it's easy to understand why Nkunku may be looking to move this month.

The £52m attacker simply isn't playing enough football right now.

Nkunku is getting games in the Conference League, and his stats in that competition show exactly why he may want to move.

Nkunku is still a very talented player who can make a difference at the highest level, but, unfortunately, there just isn't the space for him in this Chelsea team.

Bayern Munich want Nkunku, and that may be a move that suits all parties as Nkunku can return to the league where he made his name and, hopefully, get more chances to play regular football.
