Arsenal player to undergo medical tests today – 'Fear' he's suffered ligament damage

Riccardo Calafiori suffered an injury in Arsenal’s 1-0 Champions League win over Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old had to be subbed off after twisting his right knee. Mikel Arteta replaced him with Myles Lewis-Skelly in the 72nd minute.
In his post-match press conference, the Arsenal manager stated Calafiori “felt something” and that his situation is “worrying”.
Sky Italia say the Arsenal summer signing will undergo tests today to find out the extent of the damage.
Over at Calciomerctao, they say there’s ‘fear’ of the Italy international’s ‘ligaments’ being damaged in the European tie at the Emirates.
Arsenal’s medical staff, who were immediately concerned, started working to understand to what extent he has suffered a damage. It’s claimed there should be more clarity on the player’s situation in the ‘next few hours’, after he undergoes examinations.
Calciomercato state the major concern is that the former Bologna man’s knee ligaments may have been affected.
Their title say he’s ‘at risk’ to face Inter Milan in the Champions League on November 6th. If that’s the case, it would mean he will miss the next league fixtures against Liverpool and Newcastle United.
Calafiori’s setback is also possibly ‘bad news’ for both Italy and their manager, Luciano Spalletti for November’s international break.
