Milos Kerkez took to social media to send a message to a Dominik Szoboszlai after he scored for Liverpool in their 6-3 win against Tottenham.

The Hungarian international, who started in the 3-0 victory over Manchester United, has been a key figure in Andoni Iraola's side, and has attracted constant transfer links to Liverpool ever since his rise in the Premier League.

However, Kerkez used Instagram to send a special message to his fellow Hungary international, Szoboszlai, after his goal in the win at North London.

In Szoboszlai's Instagram post, he captioned it: "Merry Xmas Reds!" to which Kerkez replied with "Magic my bruder". Szoboszlai then liked the comment, showing their close friendship.

Milos Kerkez would suit playing under Arne Slot and Liverpool

Football Insider opinion

Kerkez is regarded as one of the league’s best young talents and has started every game for Iraola's side.

The left-back has made 17 appearances, contributing one goal and two assists. His work rate and tenacity have shown that he has a lot of potential to fill the full-back position at the highest level.

Despite the regular links to top clubs, Football Insider revealed that Bournemouth are not willing to sell the defender in January. Kerkez has become a key player for Iraola's side, and with the team sitting in fifth place, there is an outside chance of qualifying for Europe this season.

The 21-year-old signed for Bournemouth just last season for around £15.5 million from AZ Alkmaar and is on a long-term contract [BBC Sport]. Sources say Kerkez is flattered by the interest but, if he does leave in the summer, the south coast club will hold out for around £40 million.

For a club like Liverpool this price could be worth the investment. With an ageing Andrew Robertson and limited minutes for Kostas Tsimikas, a transfer would suit the needs of Arne Slot's side.

While a move may not happen this season, keeping Kerkez could be tough for Bournemouth. A potential link-up with his international teammate Szoboszlai at Liverpool would surely be an enticing prospect for the Hungarian.

In other news, Jamie Carragher believes Arne Slot tricked a Premier League manager in a pre-match press conference.
