David Moyes spotted amid Everton and Wolves links: 'Look who's in the crowd'

David Moyes has been spotted at a live game amid links with a return to management potential at either Everton or Wolves.
The Scotsman has been out of work since leaving West Ham at the end of last season, but he has been the subject of speculation when it comes to taking over at two other Premier League clubs.
Football Insider understands the 61-year-old is not keen on a return to Wolves, should the under fire Gary O’Neil be sacked at Molineux.
However Football Insider has been told Moyes would apparently be open to a potential return to Everton, where questions may be asked about Sean Dyche’s position amid the imminent takeover of the club by the Friedkin Group.
On Saturday (14 December) though, it was another of his former clubs that the ex-Hammers boss was watching, as he was spotted in the crowd at Deepdale where Preston North End played out a 1-1 draw with Leeds.
Pointing out Moyes’ presence at the game, presenter Jess Creighton said on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday (2:11pm): “Ah! Look who’s in the crowd. It’s former Preston player and manager David Moyes, just enjoying the sights. I’m sure he’ll be pleased to see his old side 1-0 up.”
Ultimately, his former club would denied all three points after a stoppage-time own goal earned a share of the points for Leeds.
David Moyes update should be of interest to Everton and Wolves
Football Insider Opinion
The presence of Moyes at this particular game should catch the attention of certain figures at both of these Premier League clubs as he seems to be putting himself out there lately.
With the amount of Premier League experience he has, the Scot would be an excellent appointment for either Everton or Wolves if they do change manager.
Both sides are currently at the wrong end of the table, and so would surely benefit from how much Moyes knows about keeping teams up at this level.
It is hard to imagine that with all his pedigree in the top-flight he would be keen on a job in the Championship.
Indeed, neither Preston boss Paul Heckingbottom or Daniel Farke at Leeds seem to be under much pressure right now, so the fact he was at that game suggests Moyes is not currently close to a new job.
That is something Everton and Wolves may need to be ready to take advantage of if they are forced into a change in the near future.
In other news, several Premier League teams are targeting a former Everton player for January transfer.
