Jamal Musiala is ready to turn down the chance of a move back to England to stay with Bayern Munich, TBR Football can confirm.

Bayern have been putting all their efforts into extending Musiala, Alphonso Davies and Joshua Kimmich in the opening months of 2025.

They have progressed with Davies and they are increasingly confident that he will turn down Real Madrid’s advances to keep him in Bavaria, whilst Kimmich talks are continuing – although they are not as advanced.

When it comes to Musiala, the future has been a bit cloudier, with the likes of Man City sending scouts to watch Musiala in person this season.

However, Musiala could be about to give Bayern some more good news.

Jamal Musiala makes Bayern Munich decision after interest from Arsenal and Man City

Sources have told TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey that Musiala, who is very close to Davies, is now ready to commit to Bayern along with his good friend.

We can reveal that after Musiala’s talks with Bayern over a new deal stalled towards the end of last year – Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and his former club Chelsea have all had contact with the player’s representatives and made it abundantly clear their interest in him.

However, following fresh talks this month and despite knowing he could return to England – Musiala is ready to commit to Bayern – who they hope and believe could put pen-to-paper this month along with Davies.

Ian Wright wants Musiala at Arsenal

The Premier League has some of the best players in the world but there remain a few on the continent who many in English football would like to see arrive.

After impressing with Bayern and in the Euros with Germany in 2024, Jamal Musiala is one of those players.

Indeed, Ian Wright has named Musiala as the signing Arsenal need to make to ensure they keep big names like Bukayo Saka around.

“They need to do some unbelievable business in the summer, right, to make sure that these guys are not thinking, you know something, I'm not feeling this right now. I'm not feeling it right,” Wright said.

"You know the noise. I don't know if he'll come, I don't know where he's going, because obviously him and Jude are big mates or whatever. But see someone like Musiala, that is the kind of player that when Saka, Gabriel or Saliba's here, Musiala, that's who we're linked with, those are the players that make people like them man take notice.”

For now, though, it looks like Wright isn’t going to get his wish and Musiala is very much going to remain in Munich for the time being.
