TBR Football can exclusively reveal Alexander Isak’s stance about departing Newcastle United in the January transfer window in favour of a move to either Arsenal or Chelsea.

Arsenal were given hope about signing Isak after it emerged that the Swede informed Newcastle that he will onlt stay beyond the summer if they qualify for the Champions League.

TBR Football revealed in September that Chelsea were interested in Isak’s signature as far back as in the summer, who currently has 12 league goals for the Magpies, who sit in fifth place in the English top-flight.

Alexander Isak is happy to stay at Newcastle despite Arsenal and Chelsea’s transfer interest

TBR Football’s chief correspondentGraeme Bailey can reveal that Alexander Isak is happy to stay at Newcastle in January, despite both Arsenal and Chelsea being huge admirers of his and targeting his signature.

TBR Football have been informed that the former Real Sociedad marksman will not look to push for any move in the winter window.

Much like Isak, Bruno Guimaraes is also attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, such as Manchester City but he too is keen on staying at Newcastle United in January and will similarly not try to leave this window.

TBR Football have also been notified that Newcastle will not even entertain any interest for either player this month.

Eddie Howe’s side have no interest in selling any of their key players in January.

However, Newcastle are aware that if they fail to secure Champions League football at the end of the season, they would find it very difficult to keep hold of either Isak or Guimaraes in the summer.

TBR Football have also been told that Newcastle are prepared to let go of both Kieran Trippier and Miguel Almiron in January.

As things stand, the Toon wish to attack the January transfer window but for that to become a possibility, they will have to free up space in their squad.

With that being the case, they are hoping to move both Trippier and Miguel Almiron on this month.

When it comes to Isak, while Arsenal and Chelsea would have hoped to sign him to bolster their attack, it seems like they will have to wait until the summer to discover whether they stand a chance of securing his services.
