TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Brighton & Hove Albion have received a bid for Arsenal and Chelsea target Evan Ferguson — which they have duly rejected.

In December, TBR Football were told about Arsenal and Chelsea’s interest in Brighton’s Ferguson.

Even Tottenham have contacted Brighton to sign Ferguson, who is one of the most exciting young strikers in the Premier League.

However, Brighton’s stance over selling the Irishman is clear.

Brighton reject bid for Arsenal and Chelsea target Evan Ferguson

Sources informed Graeme BaileyTBR Football’s chief correspondent that the Seagulls turned down the bid from an unnamed club as it was well below their valuation of Evan Ferguson.

Brighton would ideally like to loan Ferguson out and any deal involving the 20-year-old would demand in excess of a £50 million fee — making a temporary exit the sought-after goalscorer’s most realistic option of a move.

Ferguson, described as “pretty special” by Jamie Carragher is open to the idea of leaving the Amex Stadium, whether that is on loan or permanently this month as he is in pursuit of more playing time.

TBR Football revealed on Monday that West Ham’s desire to sign Ferguson is confirmed before deadline day.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle United, AFC Bournemouth and Aston Villa have all had conversations about signing the Drogheda-born marksman in the last six weeks — TBR Football understands.

Roberto De Zerbi eyeing Evan Ferguson reunion at Marseille

TBR Football can also confirm that there is interest in signing Ferguson on loan from clubs in Europe.

One of them is Marseille, with Roberto De Zerbi interested in reuniting with his former player at Brighton.

Furthermore, several clubs in Germany have also enquired about signing Ferguson.
