Fulham star Raúl Jiménez should skip the next international break with Mexico and the clash with Honduras.

That's according to journalist David Faitelson via Diez, who believes Honduras will spend the game kicking the Fulham striker.

Jiménez is almost certain to be a part of the Mexico squad for the next international break after a superb start to the season and a glorious return to the national team in the last international break.

He's very much the darling of Mexican football once again after five goals and one assist in 11 games for Fulham so far and a star performance against the USA with a goal and an assist in the 2-0 win in the middle of last month.

The next break sees Mexico take on Honduras in a double header In the CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinals, first travelling away on 16 November before hosting the second leg four days later.

El Tri will likely be hoping the Fulham striker can prove to be the difference once again, but Faitelson would prefer to see him left out entirely to protect him for the rest of the season.

“I don’t know if it’s convenient, you come from playing in the English Premier League, you’re going to play in San Pedro Sula, risking being kicked and ending your European season, in Honduras they’re going to kick you,” he said.

"It’s a low-level game. Those types of games weigh heavily on players who come from Europe.

"With the purpose of continuing to fuel the European and English career, giving him weapons to be the important player in the 2026 World Cup, not against Honduras in San Pedro Sula."
