Manager admits he's spoken Wolves player – Molineux exit makes plenty of sense

Ajax manager Francesco Farioli has admitted he has already spoken to Carlos Forbs as he gets set to return from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Voetbal Nieuws cover comments from the Ajax boss today after was asked about the winger in his pre-match press conference.
Forbs is currently on loan at Wolves after joining them temporarily in the summer, but a report yesterday indicated that Ajax had opened talks with their Premier League counterparts to end the loan prematurely.
They'd prefer to have Forbs back to bolster Farioli's squad, particularly as he has barely featured for Wolves this season.
Talks are ongoing on that front and Farioli admits he's already spoken to the winger about a return before the end of the month.
“I was very happy with him at the start of the season," he said.
"I think he has already shown here what he is. He has already helped us very much. I don’t think I can say more. I think he is very good. I spoke with him, but that is also because he would come back in the summer.”
Forbs' return to the Amsterdam ArenA has been presented as a move that suits all parties given his status a Wolves this season.
He's only managed 259 minutes across 10 appearances for Wolves this season, with neither Gary O'Neil nor Vitor Pereira seemingly convinced he is worthy of a first-team spot.
Ajax now need a player in his position and so want him back and that makes sense for everyone, at least according to Anco Jansen.
“I get it somewhere,” Voetbal Primeur report him saying on ESPN.
“They will probably have been in conversation with Wolves, he has nothing to do there. Ajax has a vacancy in that position. If that boy stays with Wolves, he will not help. Then get him back.
“He is another type. I don’t think he's a good player, but he is a very fast player. Farioli often plays withdrawn, then you can do something with players who have a lot of depth and a huge speed. But let’s be honest it is of course a huge weakness for Ajax."
