Man United midfielder Mason Mount and defender Lisandro Martinez have responded to Manuel Ugarte’s message to fans on social media after they narrowly beat Fulham 1-0.
The 23-year-old played 76 minutes of Sunday’s game (26 January), and was booked in their victory over the Whites.
Despite struggling against the pairing of Sander Berge and Sasa Lukic in the first-half, the former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder found his feet in the second-half.
Fulham had the better of the match, but were unable to find a breakthrough before Lisandro Martinez gave United the lead through a deflected effort.
Martinez was fortunate not to have been punished for a challenge on Adama Traore, before he scored the only goal of the game, Keith Hackett exclusively told Football Insider.

The Uruguayan posted a message on Instagram after the match, saying: “+3 big away points. One step closer, let’s keep pushing forward together.”
His team-mate, Mason Mount, responded to Ugarte’s post with a crying-laughing emoji, after the Uruguayan posted a photo of himself on the ground, and Bruno Fernandes laughing, as Fulham winger Harry Wilson lies on the ground in pain.
Martinez commented “You have some good things” translated from Spanish.
Despite the win, many United fans now want to see their club move for a new striker, after being disappointed with Rasmus Hojlund’s performance against the Cottagers.
United will face FCSB of Romania in their next game (30 January), as they look to guarantee a top-eight finish in the Europa League group stage.
