Last Tuesday, Fenerbahçe vice-president Acun Ilıcalı stated they have opened talks with Newcastle United for Lloyd Kelly.

Three days ago, we covered claims from Turkey that Fenerbahçe have ended their interest in the defender due to the Magpies’ demand.

According to Sport Mediaset, Juventus could be an option for the Newcastle player in the winter market.

They state the negotiations have started between the Serie A side and Newcastle and the centre-back’s transfer could go through for €15-20m.

Kelly joined the Tyneside club on a free transfer last summer and clocked in 93 minutes from four league matches since mid-September. Therefore, Eddie Howe’s side are open to letting him leave in this window.

Sky Italia state the Turin club have cooled their interest in AC Milan centre-back Fikayo Tomori in the last few hours and shifted their focus on Kelly.

Juventus have acted quickly and after having made first contacts, they tabled an offer of €12-13m for the former AFC Bournemouth man. Sky add Eddie Howe’s side, on the other hand, are requesting €18-20m.

Howe hasn’t favoured Kelly, and he could leave Newcastle quickly if Juve were to improve their proposal.
