The rivalry between Manchester United and Arsenal today isn’t what it once was, but the two sets of fans have no love for each other.

Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger shared some great battles over the years, and United inflicted a lot of pain on Arsenal at times.

Signing Robin van Persie really hurt Arsenal, and many fans were even disappointed to see Chido Obi Martin join the Red Devils last year.

Now, another Arsenal youngster could end up at Manchester United in the coming months.

Manchester United are ‘confident’ of signing Arsenal youngster Ayden Heaven

Ayden Heaven is one of Arsenal’s most talented young players.

The teenager, who can play in defence as well as in midfield, joined the Gunners in 2019 and has developed brilliantly in their academy.

He has a bright future ahead of him, but Arsenal are struggling to keep him at the club.

TBR Football exclusively revealed in December that Arsenal are in danger of losing Heaven, with clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and other foreign clubs interested in him.

Now, it looks like the Red Devils have stepped up their pursuit.

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Heaven was at Old Trafford on Thursday night, watching Manchester United in action against Rangers in the Europa League.

The journalist has revealed that United are confident of signing him after making contact and are currently leading the race for his signature.

Arsenal want to keep the ‘remarkable‘ Heaven and have offered him a new deal, but there has been no agreement on that front yet.

Romano tweeted: “Manchester United have made contact to Arsenal for 18-year-old talent Ayden Heaven. Man United are leading the race to sign Heaven while Eintracht Frankfurt and Barça have made approaches. Arsenal have also offered a new deal.”

In another tweet on Thursday, he said: “Manchester United are confident to bring him to the club despite Eintracht approach and Arsenal new deal proposal. He was in attendance at Old Trafford tonight.”

Heaven was spotted at another club’s stadium recently

Heaven is one of the most exciting young prospects in England, and a number of clubs are watching him.

Arsenal would ideally like to keep hold of him, but the fact that he has been spotted at Old Trafford suggests that he is open to exploring other opportunities.

Heaven was also at Eintracht Frankfurt’s Deutsche Bank Park recently, and the German club are keen to sign him too.

Eintracht CEO Markus Krosche even confirmed that talks have begun to seal a deal, but it looks like Manchester United are ahead of them right now.

If Heaven does move to Old Trafford, it will be a tough one to take for Arsenal, especially after they lost Obi-Martin to the Red Devils.
