Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham United and Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia have all been linked with a move to sign Aston Villa star Jhon Duran in this window.
The 21-year-old’s stock has shot up over the last few months. He has produced several excellent performances for Villa and has become a wanted man now.
Unai Emery’s side have been reluctant to let Duran go, but Aston Villa are not fully against his sale if a big offer arrives on the table.
Now, Duran has made a decision on his future.
What Arsenal and Chelsea target Jhon Duran has informed Aston Villa’s officials about his future
Duran has been a wanted man in this window.
Even though Villa have been insistent on keeping hold of him, rival clubs in the Premier League have shown interest in signing the Colombian.
West Ham United had a big bid rejected for Duran a few weeks ago. TBR revealed that Chelsea and Arsenal both enquired about signing Duran recently as well.
Saudi Arabian giants Al Nassr have been very keen to sign Duran too, and it looks like they have won the race for his signature.
Duran has agreed personal terms with Al Nassr, and Arriayadiah have claimed that the striker has informed Aston Villa that he wants to join the Saudi Pro League side.
A source told the outlet: “At the moment, Aston Villa are already waiting for the official offer to arrive to discuss the departure of Duran from the team despite sticking to his continuation. But, if an offer that cannot be rejected arrives, the player will leave.”
TBR Football can reveal that the Saudis have also agreed terms with Victor Boniface, but it’s not clear if Al Nassr will sign both him and Duran. But, a double deal has not been ruled out.
Aston Villa may have already found Duran’s replacement
Ollie Watkins is Aston Villa’s main striker, so losing Duran is not that significant a blow.
However, Emery will want to bring in a new attacker if the Colombian ends up leaving, and there is some good news on that front.
TBR Football can reveal that Chelsea forward Joao Felix wants to move to Aston Villa before the transfer window shuts.
Talks over a deal have taken place between the clubs during conversations over the transfer of Axel Disasi in recent days.
Villa would’ve bid for Felix last summer if Duran had left at the time, but he didn’t. Chelsea secured the Portuguese attacker’s signature then.
