Tottenham Hotspur were able to add some firepower to their attack over the summer but the January window could be an opportunity to add even more.

Ange Postecoglou made it clear in the summer that he was in desperate need of a new striker which saw Dominic Solanke become the club’s record transfer.

However, there have been some issues in north London over the early stages of the 2024/25 campaign with Solanke having already been sidelined through injury.

And the backup striker Richarlison has only just returned from his own injury issues which have plagued him all year.

With Tottenham experiencing some issues up top, the Lilywhites could now be eyeing a potential striker addition over the January transfer window.

Tottenham eyeing ‘special’ Premier League striker

In his opening six Premier League appearances for Tottenham, Solanke has been able to provide a return of two goals and one assist.

But there is always work that can be done to make some improvements and it seems as if Spurs are eyeing a promising young striker from another Premier League side.

And a move could even be made in January for the player in question who Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has hailed as ‘special

According to Caught Offside, Tottenham are showing an interest in making a Janaury swoop for Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap.

The former Manchester City star made the move to Portman Road in the summer and is already being valued in the region of £33m.

Tottenham are said to be leading the race for Delap with a number of other Premier League clubs like Arsenal, Aston Villa and Newcastle United all showing an interest.

With Spurs particularly keen to snap up the striker, Ipswich could already see their top scorer this season heading for the exit.

Richarlison could finally leave if Liam Delap signs

For a number of months now, Richarlison has been linked with a potential move to Saudi Arabia with interest there in the Brazilian.

The Spurs striker has struggled massively with injuries this year which have certainly hindered his returns on the pitch.

But Tottenham are in need of a reliable option who could rotate with Solanke and Richarlison is yet to prove that under Postecoglou on a consistent basis.

However, TBR Football understands Delap is not pushing for a move away yet despite his impressive start to the season with four Premier League goals.
