Arsenal came away from the Etihad Stadium on Sunday with a 2-2 draw against Manchester City with John Stones stealing a point for the hosts.

It was one of the most dramatic matches of the Premier League season, with Arsenal spending the entire second-half playing with the ten-men as Leandro Trossard was sent off for a second bookable offence, with the Belgian winger being slammed by the likes of Jamie Carragher and Stuart Pearce since.

With Bernardo Silva criticising the referee’s performance during the game, both Arsenal and City players and officials believe they got the short end of the stick in the match, even with the Gunners playing with one less player in the second half.

And Arsenal staff have seemingly not let go of what happened on Sunday just yet.

Arsenal staff still privately ranting about Man City draw

According to the Independent, Arsenal staff are still privately ranting about how their draw with City went down on Sunday, even with Mikel Arteta attempting to dampen the noise coming out of the intense game at the Etihad.

Given all the drama that happened for both Arsenal and City in the game, it’s no real surprise that staff members at the north London side are still frustrated with what went down in Sunday, with numerous moments sparking conflict on and off the pitch.

Indeed, Arsenal were seconds away from their biggest win in the Premier League in some win, a feat that would have been made that even more impressive given that Trossard had been sent off just before half-time.

And for Arsenal staff members, there’s good reason why they’re still annoyed with the result, with Sunday as close as the north London side have come to beat City in their own backyard in nearly a decade.

Arsenal need to be united in moving on from City result

Given how close Arsenal were to securing all three points away at City, it’s no real surprise why some staff members are still ranting and raving about the full-time result.

However, Arteta has built a culture at Arsenal that means dwelling on past results is out of the question, and the entire club need to be united if they’re to move on from Sunday’s result at City.

Indeed, today’s League Cup tie against Bolton Wanderers followed by a home clash against Leicester City should put Arsenal back on the path to success, and staff members should soon reunite under one common banner in the coming days.
