Tottenham Hotspur returned to winning ways in the Premier League as they came from behind to secure a 4-1 victory against West Ham United.

Mohammed Kudus broke the deadlock for the Hammers early in the game, but the home side struck back through Dejan Kulusevski, Yves Bissouma, Son Heung-min and an own goal from Alphonse Areola to secure all three points.

Ange Postecoglou’s side suffered a damaging 3-2 loss against Brighton & Hove Albion before the international break and showed some much-needed character to return to winning ways after going behind early.

And Gabriel Agbonlahor feels one Tottenham player has really proved him wrong with his performances this season.

Kulusevski triggered Spurs’ comeback with a fantastic first-half goal as he continued his rich vein of form for club and country this season.

The Swede wasn’t at his best last season after making his loan move from Juventus permanent for £25m but has been much better this time around, having already notched up two goals and assists apiece in all competitions.

Agbonlahor previously claimed Kulusevski is better off as a number ten for Tottenham, a position that has brought the best out of him this season.

Adding to his earlier point, the former Aston Villa striker lauded the Swede for his all-round play as he included him in his Team of the Week.

"I thought he was outstanding, he has been in recent weeks,” said Agbonlahor on talkSPORT.

“He has been that player that has enjoyed not playing off the wing, being able to drift into the wing, playing in that number 10 position.

“And the way he took his goal when Spurs needed him because they were a goal down. He cuts in and smashes one in off the post, both posts in fact. And just his all-round game, to be honest.

“He was making things happen, he was driving forward and I really think he has been at his best this season. So, Kulusevski, who I did criticise last season, has started this season in fine form."

Kulusevski’s stats vs West Ham

Kulusevski made two key passes and completed as many dribbles as he ran the show for Tottenham alongside James Maddison and Bissouma in the centre of the park.

He had 59 touches of the ball and boasted a pass completion percentage of 85% (29/34 passes completed) as he finished the game with a Sofascore rating of 7.7.

Dominic Solanke feels Kulusevski has been ‘phenomenal’ this season, which is a clear indication that the Tottenham forwards are absolutely relishing the prospect of playing alongside the Swede.
