Arsenal are battling it out in another Premier League title race but can they finally get over the line this season?

The Gunners have been the runners-up to Manchester City in each of the last two campaigns.

Mikel Arteta’s men secured an impressive 89 points in the 2023/24 season but still came up short to City’s title-winning haul of 91.

The north Londoners are eager to end their wait for another league crown but are fighting with City and Liverpool once again.

It is now over two decades since the club tasted league glory but they have won five FA Cups in that time as well as five Community Shields.

But a title is what the Arsenal faithful are longing for again following their glory days of the late 1990s and early 2000s under Arsene Wenger.

City and Liverpool will be tough competition this term but Arteta’s squad is now full of quality and depth.

But can they go one step further and clinch glory?

When was the last time Arsenal won the Premier League?

Arsenal last won the Premier League in the 2003/04 season.

This campaign is famously remembered as the club’s ‘Invincibles’ year.

During that season, Arsenal went unbeaten in their 38 league games, winning 26 of them and were rewarded with a Gold trophy – the only team to ever win one – instead of the usual silverware.

The Emirates outfit are now in their 20th season since they last lifted the title.

How many titles have Arsenal won?

The Gunners have lifted 13 English league titles, only behind Liverpool (19) and Manchester United (20) for most successful.

However, only three of Arsenal’s trophies have come in the Premier League era – with none being won since the move to the Emirates.

Arsenal have been a mainstay in England’s top division for over a century and are one of only seven teams never to have been relegated from the Premier League.
