Wrexham star James McLean fires 'warm up' warning to Tom Brady and Birmingham

Wrexham's James McClean has vowed to 'get Birmingham back' after his side's loss at St. Andrew's earlier this month.
The League One rivals battled it out for the first time in their respective promotion bids last Monday, with David Beckham, Blues co-owner Tom Brady and Wrexham chief Rob McElhenney in attendance.
Despite being top of the table going into the clash and going ahead through Jack Marriott, Wrexham lost 3-1, with record signing Jay Stansfield bagging a brace and Tomoki Iwata firing home too.
But being convincingly beaten by their promotion foes hasn't stopped McClean from firing a vow to the Blues ahead of the return fixture on January 25.
Speaking about the game on former Wrexham goalkeeper Ben Foster's live Fozcast on Sunday, he said: “That was just the warm up!
"We owe them one, and we’ll get them back at our place."
McClean was at the centre of the drama-fuelled clash in the Midlands.
The Irishman already had fans on his back after seemingly striking Marc Leonard in the face.
As he left the pitch after being substituted towards the end of the game, he walked past a section of home fans, lifting his shorts to display a tattoo related to his hometown Londonderry in Northern Ireland as they gave him stick.
He had objects thrown at him, one of them being a drinks cup, which he picked up and pretended to sip from.
Fans were also seen being held back by a steward as the Wrexham captain walked past.
Taking to Instagram after the incident, McClean wrote: “They have nothing in their whole imperial arsenal that can break the spirit of an Irishman who doesn’t want to be broken.”
He also added a tongue-in-cheek message: “P.s fair play to the one old steward that held them all back from getting over the 2ft advertising hoardings”.
Wrexham's Paul Mullin also made headlines after appearing to bite Alex Cochrane's leg.
Phil Parkinson’s side remain top of the league, whilst Birmingham sit in second on goal difference with a game in hand against Exeter City.
