Juventus unveil new 2024-25 home jersey ... minus a new front sponsor

Juventus on Facebook

There will be a Coppa Italia patch, but not a new sponsor in place of Jeep — for now.

Over the last few years, we've become accustomed to Juventus rolling out their next season's new home kit even before the current season has come to an end. You could do it like clockwork — the last couple of weeks of the season arrived, and there's Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic wearing the jersey in which they will have on come the start of the new campaign come August or September.

This year has not been like the last few years, though — and for one very obvious reason.

Juventus and their longtime shirt sponsor, Exor family member Jeep, decided not to renew their decade-plus relationship, therefore leaving a giant void of income at a time when that big sum of money is very much of need. And because Juve can only wait so long to unveil their new kit after it's been leaked online weeks ago and is apparently being sold in certain parts of the world, Tuesday morning was finally the time in which we saw the threads the Bianconeri will be wearing more often than not a few months from now.

Juve's new home jersey is here. And, after years of interesting takes on how those famous black and white stripes look, the club has returned to more of a classic look. That means stripes that are actually straight and clean rather than looking like paint brush strokes or anything but smooth like we got last season. Instead, Juventus and Adidas kept things rather simple for the 2024-25 season — and it's quite nice to see it after all the different takes over the last five or six years.

There is, of course, one major thing missing: a replacement for Jeep's sponsorship, with Juve rolling out their new home jersey sans sponsor — something that I can't really remember happening in my couple of decades as a fan of this club.

A couple of other details regarding next season's home kit that might not be clear in the first round of pictures posted online:

  • The Coppa Italia patch will be above the Adidas logo on the top-right part of the chest.
  • The back of the jersey will be mostly white to provide clear visibility for the black lettering and numbers.
  • Black shorts.
  • Black socks.
  • In case you were hoping to go to the Juve sote — now associated with (gulp) Fanatics — and getting a hint at potential new kit numbers for some of Juve's players, you're not in luck just yet. That function is currently unavailable.

And now, some words describing the new jersey from Juventus and Adidas:

Crafted with precision, the kit boasts a unique structured fabric created using a 3D engineering method to construct the jersey in three levels. This layered fabric creates both visual and haptic intrigue when experienced up close, by incorporating textured details that replicate the undulating surface of the moon.

The design is completed with a seasonal black and white crew-neck collar and black and white expressions of the adidas three stripes, which run down the shoulders of the shirt.

Crafted for performance and to help provide world-class players with the confidence to play under pressure, the lightweight jerseys feature the latest in adidas technology which has been created in close collaboration with players throughout the development process.

I gotta admit, it's a clean look. I haven't always felt that way over the last handful of years simply because so many looks weren't, well clean. We had the half and half look. We had the paintbrush look. We had the stripes that were basically a whole bunch of triangles put together. We had last season's zebra-like look with stripes that we very much not smooth.

I feel like this one passes the test at first glance (even though the first glance came months ago when the design was first leaked online). There's no thoughts of "I need to see this one on the field to fully form my opinion." Nope, nothing like that. That one hits — and the sponsor-less look will make this one popular before somebody (hopefully) pays lots of money to be on the front of Juve's new kit.
