'It can only help' – Wrexham defender shares interest in January loan exit

Wrexham have a squad stacked with talented and experienced players, all playing a key role in getting the Red Dragons to where they are now.
Phil Parkinson’s side sit 3rd in the League One table. It wasn’t the expectation that they would rise from League Two and fight for a third promotion in three years, but the North Welsh side look well placed to do so at this early stage.
Many of the current first-team stars are players who were recruited externally over the past few years, but there are youngsters coming through the academy ranks hopeful of holding such roles themselves in the future.
Among them is 19-year-old defender Aaron James, who made his sixth Wrexham appearance in the EFL Trophy against Port Vale on Tuesday. It was his second start in the competition this season having played the full 90 minutes in the 3-0 win over Wolves’ U21s last month.
Speaking after the game, the young prospect spoke openly about the value of such experiences before sharing he has eyes on heading out on loan when the January window comes around.
Discussing the matter with the Wrexhammedia channels, James said:
“I would like to maybe go on loan in January to play more minutes.
“[But] these opportunities have helped develop me. Playing against a proper good EFL side, it can only help my development alongside the other young lads.
“So hopefully the opportunities keep coming and I keep taking them!”
