Wigan Athletic travel to face Lincoln City on Saturday afternoon as League One slowly begins to take shape.
Wigan Athletic have had a disappointing start to their campaign, currently sat 15th in the table after their opening five fixtures.
The Latics have lost three and won two of their third tier outings, though will certainly take plenty of confidence from their 4-0 thrashing of Bristol Rovers last time out.
Joe Hugill scored a brace prior to efforts from Thelo Aasgaard and Luke Chambers wrapping up the result, leaving Shaun Maloney’s side hopeful of a similar showing this weekend.
Lincoln City, meanwhile, proved to be somewhat of a force at the end of last season and played some really exciting stuff under Michael Skubala – they have seemingly continued in a similar vein this term.
The Imps currently occupy 6th spot having lost just one of their opening five fixtures, drawing 1-1 with Peterborough United away from home in their last outing.
It has been a strong start to what is bound to be an extremely competitive League One campaign, and there is no reason why they cannot go one better this season and achieve a top six finish come May.

“Wigan Athletic are bound to be in great spirits following their emphatic victory last time out, but they face a well-drilled Lincoln City outfit who will feel equally confident of securing a result this weekend.
“The Latics have proven that they know how to find the net, but the challenge is now to repeat their performance from last weekend which is easier said than done.
“The Imps are in a great position to continue pushing for a play-off spot this season and these are the sort of fixtures that the crowd can really turn up for to push them over the line, it is possible that home advantage could play a part.
“This is a tough one to call due to Wigan’s recent showing, but I am backing the hosts to take a narrow victory on this occasion.”

“Lincoln City haven’t been in bad form at all recently and will be full of confidence.
“They have looked good under Michael Skubala and will fancy their chances of picking up all three points on their own patch here.
“Wigan Athletic are in good spirits as well though after battering Bristol Rovers 4-0 away last time out.
“The Latics have some exciting young players in their squad such as Joe Hugill, Thelo Aasgaard and Silko Thomas and although you could argue they need some more experience, there is an element of fearlessness about Shaun Maloney’s side. For that reason, I think they’ll get a draw.”
