Arne Slot makes Diogo Jota decision and 'brilliant' player returns: Liverpool's predicted XI vs West Ham

Liverpool play their last Premier League game of 2025 tomorrow as they take on a rejuvenated West Ham United side at the London Stadium.
Julen Lopetegui’s side are unbeaten in their last four league games but have a handful of absentees ahead of the game tomorrow.
The Reds, on the other hand, will aim to cement their status as Premier League leaders, with Arne Slot’s side currently six points above second-placed Arsenal.
And here’s how they could potentially line up tomorrow.
Defence
Alisson Becker will take his place between the sticks, with the Brazilian goalkeeper well and truly back to full fitness now after missing a large part of the season due to a hamstring injury.
The likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez will keep their place in the team for the trip to the London Stadium, although it remains to be seen what will happen with Andy Robertson.
The Scot hasn’t been in the best touch in recent weeks, so with Kostas Tsimikas now fully fit, we think the Greek international will get the nod for this one.
Michael Owen described Tsimikas as a ‘brilliant’ player earlier this season and the left-back will look to make it count if he gets an opportunity.
Midfield
Ryan Gravenberch has started every Premier League and UEFA Champions League game this season and that is likely to continue for as long as he’s fit.
Alexis Mac Allister got two assists against Leicester and Curtis Jones got his name on the scoresheet, so the duo should continue in what is set to be an unchanged midfield from Arne Slot.
Dominik Szoboszlai is suspended, but Harvey Elliott is back fully fit and may be in contention to start his first Premier League season.
Attack
Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo have both been in fantastic form in recent weeks and played starring roles against Leicester, so it’s hard to see either of them being omitted from the XI tomorrow.
However, Darwin Nunez flattered to deceive once again vs the Foxes and has scored just four times in 23 appearances this season.
Luis Diaz is capable of playing as a false nine and Diogo Jota is also fully fit after recovering from his rib injury, so we think the Portuguese international will be chosen to spearhead the attack tomorrow.
